She always called me Krissy and to me she was Mommy Kathy.  Every time I think about her, all I hear in my head is her saying, "I love you baby, it'll be okay!"  She ALWAYS said that.  She never failed to tell me how much Me, Rose and Stacey meant to her.  She always said she loved us like her own.  I remember the last time I saw her.  She came to visit me for a couple of weeks last summer.  I loved having her here.  She loved my babies and my son called her "Auntie Gram."  She was very special to me.  She was supposed to come back to my house and visit again in November.  However, she called me about a week before she died and told me she was really sick and that she probably couldn't come down until January.  I told her to take care of herself first and then we will try to make plans for a visit when she is better.  She cried to me saying she missed me and wanted to come see me.  I assured her she would have plenty of time to visit me when she was well, of course not knowing the outcome of the next week.  She loved so many people and I always knew I could call her at anytime.  She was a mother to me and I just wish I had one more chance to hear her say, "I love you, baby!" 
I love you Aunt Kathy and you are my shining star in the sky!

Toni, you know, i was thinking just the other day about sitting around the campfire with Kathy. I think that I caught a wiff of my clothes smelling like the fireplace and it made me think of it.

Kathy was so full of energy, so full of spirit and so PROUD of YOU!!! I remember the smile on her face as she looked across the campfire at you.
